Earl Blankenship has always enjoyed in equal measure the deal and the people. He’s a CPA who is adept at combing through financial statements, scouring the data to identify opportunities and obstacles. Earl is an engaging personality full of energy and ideas. That combination of skills, and a knack for knowing when and where to invest, propelled him to a long and successful career in real estate.
A forward-thinking entrepreneur, Earl started his first business before his 30th birthday. Interstate Realty Corp. grew into the largest property management and brokerage firm in the Mid-South with 115 employees and more than 16 million square feet under management. When the firm was sold to CBRE, the employees who helped Earl build the business retained a share of ownership. Earl later purchased LEDIC (now Envolve) and it became one of the nation’s largest multi-family management companies. The company was sold to a private equity firm in 2010.
Earl launched his first investment business in the early 2000s and now operates a trio of investment firms: Mercury Investment Management, Miami North Investors, and Wales Capital Partners. The firms invest in a broad range of opportunities, including real estate and emerging companies. Earl’s companies have invested in 47 transactions valued at more than $800 million.
A graduate of Texas A&M, Earl is passionate about his faith, his family, and his business. Born and raised in Texas, Earl currently lives in Dallas with his wife, Kimberly. They have three children and five grandchildren.
